We regularly update records such as EU Binding Tariff Information (BTI) and US Rulings to reflect any changes in HS Codes.

After a tariff classification (like US Ruling or EU Binding Tariff Information) is published, it can be removed from the relevant HS code schedule, or the related HS code can be changed (1). FindHS.Codes team monitors these changes/updates, and makes the necessary HS Code amendments in the related tariff classifications:

(1) HS code updates and changes occur in two main ways:

  1. Periodic Revisions by the WCO: The Harmonized System Committee of the World Customs Organization (WCO) revises the Harmonized System every five years, and countries adapt their codes accordingly. The most recent amendment was in January 2022, and the next amendment will be in January 2027.
  2. Regular National Amendments: Countries regularly amend their own customs tariff schedules. They create new codes and delete or amend many existing codes each year. As a result, numerous HS Codes become obsolete annually, leading to public documents referencing outdated codes.

Inspired by the saying 'A picture is worth a thousand words', FindHS.Codes team associates images of relevant products with the tariff classification records, such as US Rulings, to provide users with clear visual references.

Thanks to Product Image Association, users can effortlessly determine if the product they are searching for matches or is similar to the product shown in the associated image. Moreover, these images play a crucial role in Image-based HS Code classification, a unique feature offered by FindHS.Codes. Search by Image Click for more information
